The 40 Steps is one of Newport, Rhode Island’s most popular attractions . There you will find fantastic views of the waves crashing over the rocky coast. ⚓️ People swim and dive there. This spot is less than a mile from the famous Cliff Walk. These steps were built in the early 1800s and restored in the 1990s at a cost of $3000 per step.
After taking in the views from the 40 Steps, continue on to the Cliff Walk which runs 3.5 miles. This walk has incredible views of the ocean and the Newport Mansions.
