Lightning in Philadelphia after storm

It was raining like hell at around 7:45 am, its too early for doom and gloom. Lame.

Many Pennsylvania residents were worried about a snowstorm that was expected to hit hard today with up to 8 inches in the Philadelphia-area, however, the fast moving storm that blanketed the Northeast has largely spared eastern Pennsylvania. By mid-morning, it had already wound down, leaving about 3 inches of snow downtown. Some surrounding suburban counties saw 4 to 5 inches.

Tropical Storm Gordon swept over south Florida on Monday, September 3, dumping torrential rains across the peninsula and the keys. Gordon is now expected to become a hurricane just before landfall on late Tuesday or early Wednesday.

The National Hurricane Center issued a hurricane warning from the Alabama-Florida state line to the mouth of the Pearl River on the Mississippi-Louisiana state line.

A large tree fell on a parked car in Philadelphia after the second nor’easter in a week hit the East Coast on March 7.
