Philadelphia police say an erratic driver who struck one pedestrian and tried to mow down others was shot by an off-duty cop.

Hundreds of protesters marched through the streets of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Wednesday in support of Alton Sterling, the African-American man who was shot dead the day before by two Baton Rouge, Louisiana, police officers. Several protesters were also seen being taken away by police at a highway intersection. James Valles reporting (BNO News)

Officials were called out to an area near 13th Avenue and Grant Street late Saturday night in response to a gunshot wound.  Police said early Sunday morning that one man was killed. They are now calling it a homicide investigation.
