Business Insider reports the sandwich chain is rolling out the “double bread bowl.”
The new option is a loaf of bread with two holes to hold two different soups.
Panera is testing the double bread bowl starting August 5 in select Philadelphia locations.
If the test is successful, the company will bring the bowl to other locations.

Business Insider reports, “Panera has released a double bread bowl in honor of National Best Friend Day. Their popular sourdough bread bowl usually has just one bowl inside the loaf, now there’s TWO. The double bread bowls are being tested around the Philadelphia area.” The double bread bowl allows for soup combinations or a soup and mac ‘n’ cheese combo. It cost anywhere between $12 to $21 and there are more than 50 possible combinations. Fans of bread should try out this double surprise!
