Senator Trent Lott: Immigration Reform Needs Leaders
Bipartisan Policy Center – National Constitution Center
The Commission on Political Reform (CPR) will hold its second in a series of National Conversations on American Unity in partnership with the National Constitution Center and USA TODAY in Philadelphia.
Former Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell will join CPR co-chairs Secretary Dan Glickman, Governor Dirk Kempthorne, Senator Trent Lott, and Senator Olympia Snowe for discussions on public service.
The event will convene former elected officials, community, business, and public service leaders for a town hall meeting. The discussion will examine ways in which Americans are serving their country, current barriers to participation in elective politics, and will analyze how political polarization is discouraging citizens of all ages from engaging in our democratic process.
Meek Mill Unable to Needs Permission to Leave Philadelphia According to The Blast, the Philly rapper, who was freed from jail on Tuesday, cannot leave his hometown without permission until June 18. “…this Court ORDERS that Defendant reside in Philadelphia County, be supervised by the Philadelphia County Adult Probation and Parole Department… “…and shall report to the Philadelphia County Adult Probation and Parole Department within 24 hours of the date of this Order.” Meek had been serving time on a two to four-year sentence for violating probation related to a 2008 drug and gun case. “I ain’t feel free since I caught this case at age of 19 — I’m 30 now. I’ve got a lot of responsibility. I’ve got a lot of important people depending on me.” Meek Mill, to NBC’s Lester Holt “And I’m not talking about them people, the public officials, I’m talking about them men that’s depending on me going through the same thing I’m going through.” The “Dreams and Nightmares” artist heads back to court in June for an evidentiary hearing.

When He Needs Advice, a Philadelphia Flyer Turns to His Brother the Dancer
Even though he’s doing something completely opposite of what you’re doing, he’ll understand
what you’re going through right now.’ That has been helpful for Keaton.”
Those conversations proved invaluable for the brothers whenever they encountered inevitable career disappointments, whether
it was being assigned to the Flyers’ minor league affiliate or being relegated to the second company at the Houston Ballet.
A first-year company dancer with the Atlanta Ballet, Keaton Leier, 21, had already been training 10 hours a day, five
days a week, for more than a month by the time his older brother reported to the Flyers’ training camp in September.
When Taylor left home at 17 to play junior hockey with the Portland Winterhawks in Oregon, he was unknowingly
establishing a precedent for his brother, who at 17 left home to train at the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School.
On one particularly hectic day, Cindy Leier said she attended a dance competition with Keaton in Edmonton, Alberta, before
having to rush back home to Saskatoon, a drive of more than 300 miles, to attend Taylor’s hockey awards banquet.
“That’s how strong he is in his lower body.”
After he performed with the second company at the Houston Ballet last year, Keaton Leier’s move to Atlanta is a major promotion.
During the long drive home, she received word that Keaton had received the competition’s
top accolade, an honor that included a trip to a Los Angeles dance studio.
