LeSean McCoy was one of multiple people involved in an altercation in Philadelphia early Monday morning.

PHILADELPHIA — NFL running back LeSean McCoy has found himself in trouble with the police after a mix-up over a bottle of champagne at a nightclub on Sunday morning.

The incident occurred at Recess Lounge in Philadelphia. Three off-duty cops were at the nightclub and had just ordered four bottles of champagne.

Meanwhile, McCoy was with three of his friends – former San Diego Chargers running back Curtis Brinkley, former University of Pittsburgh player Tamarcus Porter, and Christopher Henderson. At around 2:45 a.m., it’s believed Porter grabbed a bottle from one of the cops.

A heated argument between the two broke out, until things escalated to a shoving match. Before long, the cop was knocked to the ground, and found himself getting stomped on by four football players.

One of the other cops and three bouncers jumped in to break up the fight. The second cop, Officer Roland Butler, suffered a hit to the eye and a possible skull fracture.

The cop from the initial confrontation was Officer Darnell Jessie, who was treated for a broken nose, broken rib, eye laceration and a sprained thumb.

The Buffalo Bills tweeted that the team is aware of the incident involving McCoy, and won’t comment further until more information is known.

Charlie Sheen pledges a $1000 tip to the waiter who was slighted by Philadelphia Eagles running back, LeSean McCoy. TC Newman (@PurpleTCNewman) has the details.

Is LeSean McCoy a bad tipper Rich NFL athlete leaves 20-cent tip at Philadelphia restaurant PYT.

The owner of Philadelphia restaurant PYT — “Home of America’s Craaaziest Burgers”
— wasn’t happy when Eagles running back LeSean McCoy left a $00.20 tip on a $60 bill. So he posted the receipt on Facebook.

“The twenty cent tip that the Eagles’ LeSean McCoy just left our server on his $60 check is going to come in really handy for that new official NFL McCoy jersey he had his heart set on,” read the comment that accompanied the post. “That is a .03% tip. New record!”

If he was hoping to shame Shady, his plan backfired. Commenters ripped the restaurant for its bad service and unprofessionalism.

Among the most popular comments on the Facebook post:

“I have waited on LeSean McCoy before and he tipped well, I have to assume the server may have been in the wrong.”

“[I]s there a minimum we should tip to avoid you posting receipts online?”

“Bad form PYT. Posting this is disturbing and unprofessional. Have you read your Yelp page? SMH.”

In case you were wondering, PYT has three stars on Yelp.

Just because McCoy is a pro-athlete doesn’t mean he should tip generously. That’s what we think. Do you think McCoy should have left a bigger tip?
