Day 1 was a star studded affair with Michelle Obama and Bernie Sanders delivering speeches. Here’s a rundown of the viewing options for Day 2. DATE: Tuesday, July 26, 2016. TV VIEWING OPTIONS: C-SPAN – The network’s coverage begins at 4 p.m. Eastern. MSNBC – Coverage officially begins at 5 p.m. Eastern with additional coverage throughout the day. PBS – Gwen Ifill and Judy Woodruff anchor the coverage from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. Eastern. CNN – The network will have live coverage throughout the day with the primetime session beginning at 9 p.m. Eastern. DNC SCHEDULE FOR TUESDAY, RNC DAY 2: The 42nd president Bill Clinton headlines the list of speakers on Day 2 of the DNC. Mothers of the Movement, an organization made up of mothers who have lost sons to shootings, will speak. The United States is hurtling toward another presidential election. On the off chance that you haven’t already had your fill of political wheeling and dealing after the GOP convention, the Democrats have got you covered. Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is slated to become the Democratic Party’s next presidential nominee at the 2016 Democratic National Convention, which will take place in Philadelphia from July 25 to 28. If you have a cable or satellite subscription, tuning in is as simple as finding a 24/7 news station that will, in all likelihood, prop up your side while demonizing the other guy, or vice versa. Otherwise, finding free coverage online is fairly simple, although we can’t promise that your time wouldn’t be better spent watching old “Star Trek” reruns or whittling a donkey out of a very large stick. The page currently has a section where you can “Watch Live.” There’s nothing there yet, there will be as soon as the events get underway. While you may not be able to watch on a mobile device or a streaming box, if you want a second stream at work or don’t mind setting up a laptop in the living room, you may find this to be the easiest solution. Twitter / CBS News Twitter and CBS News made a deal to stream both the Republican and Democratic conventions, and the two companies aren’t likely to renege on their bargain halfway through. Both Twitter and CBS News are available in web or app form through computers, mobile devices, streaming players and game consoles, meaning that this is a free and easy way to watch the convention on almost any platform you choose. Finding the stream will be easy as well; simply open one of the apps and check the front page. YouTube You can find just about anything on Google’s streaming video service, and that includes conventions to decide the political future of the United States. YouTube will host free streams for both the Democratic and Republican conventions, and both will be available live. Even if you miss the highlights, the Democrats will be gathering prerecorded footage on the convention’s YouTube channel , so you can go back and watch at any time on a computer, mobile device, streaming player or game console. Twitch Twitch.tv is not just for video games anymore. To keep users politically engaged, the powers that be at Twitch have decided to cover both the Republican and Democratic conventions, also allowing streamers to host the events on their own channels. If you’ve always wanted to try your hand at being a political pundit, this is your chance. Who knows? You may rack up some loyal viewers who will come back to watch game streams.
