Philadelphia chef Greg Vernick is celebrating some major recognition. He was one of this year’s Best Chef winners at the prestigious James Beard Awards and Philadelphia’s leading paper called his restaurant “the best in the city.” Vernick joins “CBS This Morning: Saturday” to discuss which chefs influenced him and his culinary journey.

Chef Eli Kulp’s restaurant High Street on Hudson was named one of Bon Appétit’s Best New Restaurants in 2013. He was shuttling between New York and Philadelphia weekly to run his four acclaimed restaurants. In May 2015, his Amtrak train 188 derailed outside of Philadelphia, leaving him paralyzed.
