to Its Menu The popular chain is adding Applewood Smoked Bacon to eight restaurants in Orange County, California. If the test goes well, the new bacon addition will go national. Chief Marketing Officer Chris Brandt,
via Business Insider This change comes after company struggles due to a previous E. Coli outbreak and recent food-poisoning linked to the restaurant. Chipotle also announced that until September 30, customers in Miami and Dallas can order
$2 tacos with the purchase of a drink after 8 p.m until 11 p.m. In select Philadelphia and Indianapolis locations, customers can add chips and a drink to their order
for $3.

This week I’m back in Philly having an awesome Country Bacon Beef Burger at Bareburger.

I ordered from their DIY burger menu (callled Be My Burger),
choosing a beef burger on a brioche bun with country bacon
along with a side of fries and an all natural diet cola (which tasted amazing).

The burger was the standout here –
it’s the best non-Kobe beef burger I’ve ever had in Philly.

It’s no surprise, given their concern for product sourcing:

“We are proud the animals that supply our meat have been treated humanely and with respect. We support farms that provide honest and fair wages. We are happy to support local food artisans like NY Foods Organic, Blackwing Quality Meats, Alberts Organics, Ricks Picks and Maine Root Soda.”
