(Reuters) – The Philadelphia Eagles’ first Super Bowl victory set off rowdy celebrations in Philadelphia as people who poured into the streets set at least one fire and damaged property early on Monday, images on social media showed. Joyous football fans burst into jubilation in gatherings at bars and took their party into the streets, jumping up and down, setting off pyrotechnics and singing the fight song “Fly Eagles Fly.

Traffic moved slowly in Pennsylvania for a police escort, but drivers might have gotten their feathers ruffled when they saw what the cops were escorting: Peacocks! The birds wandered a little too far from the Philadelphia Zoo, where they are part of a free-roaming flock. A representative from the zoo says it’s not unusual for some peacocks to venture beyond the gates, but they usually return before dark. The first stops of my quick Portugal Road Trip was to the beautiful towns of Lagos and Tavira in Portugals Algarve Region. \r

Lagos is famous for its incredible coastline and beautiful beaches. I stayed at the Canavial Hotel in Lagos, and it was the perfect location (not sponsored). \r

Tavira is one of the most beautiful towns I have ever seen. Whitewashed buildings with a river running right through the middle. The people of Tavira are friendly and laid back, and its the perfect place to stop while youre in the Algarve region or Portugal.\r

Right next to Tavira is the small fishing town of Santa Luzia, which is the self-proclaimed capital of octopus! I had a dinner at Casa do Polvo (House of Octopus), and I must confess, it was the best octopus, perhaps even the best seafood, I have ever had. I highly recommend it. \r
