Philadelphia has banned employers from asking potential hires to provide their salary history. This is a move supporters say is a step toward closing the pay gap between men and women. City Mayor Jim Kenney signed the measure Monday. He said he’s confident the bill can endure legal challenges. the city’s Chamber of Commerce and Comcast have said the law goes too far in how employers can interact with potential workers.

The 29-51 Washington Wizards will travel to play the 47-33 Brooklyn Nets in an NBA pro basketball game on Monday night. Tip off time from Brooklyn is scheduled for 7:30PM Eastern Time with national television coverage provided by the NBA League Pass Channel.

Cleveland averages 93.1 points a game with 43.4% shooting.

Brooklyn is 24-15 straight up on their home court. Their four game win streak was snapped on Sunday in a 93-87 road defeat to the Toronto Raptors as a -4 point betting favorite. The total landed under 194 ½ points. The Nets fell behind 51-32 at the half in defeat. They shot just 40.5% from the field and made 8 of 30 three pointers. Brooklyn gave up 43.9% shooting to the Raptors with 6 of 15 three pointers and allowed Toronto to grab ten more rebounds. Deron Williams led the Nets with 30 points and seven assists as he connected on 11 of his 20 shots. Brooklyn is locked into the number four seed in the Eastern conference and will have home court advantage against either Atlanta or Chicago in the first round of the playoffs next weekend. Brooklyn has done a good job of limiting points to opponents this season. The team ranks fifth in the NBA in scoring defense by allowing 95 points a game.
