Oldest Gorilla in the U.S. Turns 60!

Colo, the United States’ oldest living gorilla, turned 60 years old on Thursday at the Columbus Zoo. Colo, who is the first gorilla in the world born to be in a zoo, has surpassed the usual life expectancy of captive gorillas by over 20 years. Even though she recently had surgery to remove a malignant tumor, doctors say she’s doing well.
