Love Hotels in Japan are big business – $40bn of big business. And with 25,000 love hotels in operation in Japan there’s bound to be a few wacky, crazy ones – here are 5 you should probably know.
Far from being seedy establishments though, love hotels are fantastic places where couples can escape and enjoy the many facilities in the room, ranging from karaoke, to saunas and jacuzzis.
They’re also pretty cheap compared to a standard hotel on account of not being able to book the room in advance, making them a great place for travellers.
If you’re in Japan and haven’t ever tried one, regardless of whether you’re with a girlfriend, boyfriend or just a friend, don’t be afraid to give one a visit!
