Frankfurt as a modern European city prides high towers among which Messeturm tower with the pyramidal peak of Helmut Jahn and Commerzbank Tower by Norman Foster are the tallest. The towers rise high above the park and the Gothic Church Kaiserdom, which the emperor of the Holy Roman Empire was crowned. Despite being known as the city of concrete and steel, Frankfurt has a gorgeous botanical garden along with a number of beautifully landscaped parks, quite suibtale for picnics. Palmengarten, spread on 50 acres, is situated in the heart of modern Westend. Children’s train takes the kids on an exciting ride by the lake of the park and gardens. The “Siesmayer” Cafeteria in the garden offers a great lunch.Â
