Thousands of Philadelphia Eagles fans took to the streets of Philadelphia to celebrate their Super Bowl victory over the New England Patriots.
This video shared by an eyewitness shows an Eagles fan spraying beer at a crowd after scaling a lamppost on South Broad Street on Sunday, February 4. It shows fans standing below him cheering and laughing as they enjoy the celebration next to Philadelphia City Hall.
Police had put hydraulic fluid on lampposts and signposts in a bid to deter people from climbing them, according to local reports.
The celebrations broke out after the Eagles clinched a decisive 41-33 win at the U.S Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.
Mayor Jim Kenney described the event as a day the city has “dreamed of”, according to local news reports. Credit: Twitter/omniskillz via Storyful
