Philadelphia got super high to celebrate decriminalization. Philly residents gathered and lit up at a ‘pop-up weed garden’ near the famous Philadelphia Museum of Art. The event was set up by local weed activists to commemorate 2 years of decriminalization in the City of Brotherly Love. Before the event, organizers went to city hall to commend city officials and highlight the positive effects of decriminalization. Marijuana possession used to lead to arrests in Philly, but now possession of less than 30 grams only gets you a $100 citation. Despite a police presence at the pop-up weed garden, no citations were given at the event – Now that’s Brotherly love.
